Join the Informed Parents Ambassador Corps
The Informed Parents Ambassador Corps is a grassroots initiative dedicated to empowering parents and strengthening community engagement in public education across the state. The Ambassador Corps is composed of passionate, committed parent volunteers who serve as representatives of Informed Parents within their counties and local school districts.

Our Ambassadors play a vital role in building a network of informed and active parents who are invested in the quality, safety, and values of their children's educational experience. Each Ambassador will lead efforts to recruit and organize local district-based parent organizations, fostering unity and collaboration among families who share a commitment to transparency, age-appropriate materials, and accountability within public schools.

A key responsibility of the Ambassador Corps is to represent the voices of parents before their local school district board of trustees. Ambassadors work to ensure that school officials hear directly from concerned families on matters that impact students, including curricula and the availability of books and instructional materials in school libraries.

Ambassadors assist in identifying and bringing to the attention of school boards any library materials deemed pervasively vulgar or inappropriate for the developmental stages of children and young adults.

Ambassadors are supported by Informed Parents through training, resources, guidance on effective communication, media relations, public engagement, and policy advocacy.

Ambassadors are supported as they navigate district procedures, build relationships with school board members and administrators, and amplify the collective voice of parents regarding the education of their children.

By joining the Informed Parents Ambassador Corps, you are taking a stand for parental rights and educational integrity. Together, we can work to ensure that every child in California has access to a learning environment that reflects community values and fosters academic excellence.
